Silica brick is an acidic refractory material with good resistance to acid slag erosion. Its softening temperature under load is as high as 1640~1670℃, and its volume is relatively stable under high temperature for long-term use.

Silica checker brick is a kind of acid refractory material consisting mainly of scale quartz, calcite and a small amount of residual
quartz and vitreous phase. Silica content in this brick is above 94%. True density 2.35g/cm3. It is resistant to acid slag. Higher high temperature strength. The initial temperature of load softening is 1620~1670℃. In high temperature for a long time without deformation. Low thermal shock stability (water heat exchange is 1~4 times) with natural silica as raw material, plus an appropriate amount of mineralization agent, to promote the conversion of quartz in the billet into, scale quartz. It is slowly fired at 1350~1430℃ in reducing atmosphere. When heated to 1450℃, about 1.5~2.2% of the total volume expansion, the residual expansion will make the cut joints close, to ensure that the masonry has good air tightness and structural strength.
