Product detail
Silica Bricks For Hot Blast Stove
Main Components: Made primarily of high-purity quartzite, with a silica (SiO₂) content typically not less than 93%, and reaching over 96% in high-end products. Its mineral composition mainly consists of tridymite and cristobalite, with small amounts of residual quartz and glass phase.

Performance Characteristics:
High Load Softening Temperature: The load softening initiation temperature can reach 1620℃-1670℃, maintaining good structural stability at high temperatures and resisting deformation, making it suitable for high-temperature load-bearing parts of hot blast stoves.
Low Creep Performance: Through precise raw material proportioning and firing process control, low creep performance is achieved at 1400℃, with a reheat linear shrinkage rate ≤0.3%, ensuring the dimensional stability of the silica bricks during long-term operation of the hot blast stove.
Resistant to Acidic Slag Erosion: Belonging to acidic refractory materials, it has strong resistance to acidic slag, effectively resisting the erosion of acidic gases and slag within the hot blast stove, extending its service life.
Excellent volume stability: By controlling the purity of raw materials and the phase transformation during firing, the triceratops conversion rate is maintained within the ideal range of 68%-72%, and the residual quartz content is less than 5%, ensuring the volume stability of silica bricks during long-term high-temperature service.
Technical Specifications: According to GB/T 2608—2012 standard, the SiO₂ content of arch bricks and furnace wall bricks is ≥95%, apparent porosity is ≤22%, true density is ≤2.33g/cm³, room temperature compressive strength is ≥40MPa, softening start temperature under 0.2MPa load is ≥1650℃, creep rate at 0.2MPa (1550℃, 0h-50h) is ≤0.8%, and residual quartz is ≤1.5%.

Application Scenarios: Primarily used in the high-temperature zone at the top of the regenerator and the dome of the combustion chamber in hot blast stoves. In hot blast stoves of blast furnaces with a capacity of 4000m³ or larger, the amount of silica bricks used accounts for approximately 18%-22% of the total weight of the refractory materials in the entire hot blast stove, with a single hot blast stove using up to 2000-3500 tons of silica bricks.
