Product Introduction

Pre-melted refining synthetic slag is a new generation of auxiliary material for steel making.It can be used as purifying agent for molten steel when refining. It has strong deoxidation and desulfurization effect, which can reduce oxygen and inclusion content in steel. Besides, this product is made of a variety of fine materials after stirring evenly and melting at high temperature, which mainly produces calcium aluminate that contains more than 90 % 12CaO and 7AI2O3 with low melting point and easy to float upward. It can react with oxygen and sulfur in steel and adsorb reactants to purify molten steel.

Application

The refining slag shall be added to ladle before tapping of molten steel and the adding amount is determined by the field conditions. It is recommended to add 3 to 8 kg per ton of steel (It can also be added in two batches. One half is added at the bottom of ladle and the rest is added with steel flow). By argon stirring at the bottom of ladle, gas and inclusions in steel float upward sufficiently, and it makes the temperature and chemical compositions of molten steel uniform. Finally, the purity of molten steel and the quality of steel is obviously improved.
