Sintered Zircon Mullite Refractory Bricks
Product Parameters

Product Description
Sintered zirconia mullite bricks(ZM series) are a type of high-performance refractory material, mainly including models such as ZM-6, ZM-12, ZM-16, ZM-18, ZM-20, and ZM-30, with zirconia content ranging from 6% to 30%, meeting the requirements of different working conditions. This series of products exhibits excellent thermal shock stability (1100℃ water quenching cycle ≥20 times) , good resistance to alkali vapor and glass liquid corrosion, as well as a dense microstructure. They are mainly used in areas with frequent thermal shocks in glass furnaces, such as regenerator checker bricks (middle and upper parts), port necks, and observation ports. They are also widely used in high-temperature equipment in non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces and the chemical and ceramic industries.
Compared with conventional mullite bricks, this series of products has a longer service life;in some application scenarios, their thermal shock resistance is even better than that of fused cast zirconia corundum bricks (AZS) , making them an ideal choice for medium-to-high-intensity corrosive environments.
Application
1. Ceramic & Refractory Kilns
Critical High-Temperature Zones: Ideal for the superstructure, crown, and burner blocks of shuttle kilns, tunnel kilns, and periodic kilns firing advanced ceramics, technical ceramics, and high-alumina refractories.
Key Advantage: Provides excellent structural stability and spalling resistance under repeated heating and cooling cycles, outperforming standard mullite bricks.
2. Petrochemical & Chemical Industries
Reformers & Cracking Furnaces: Used in the radiation sections and upper linings of steam reformers and ethylene cracking furnaces, where high creep resistance and thermal shock stability are required.
Key Advantage: Maintains dimensional stability and integrity under long-term high-temperature stress and thermal cycling.
3. Non-Ferrous Metallurgy
Aluminum Processing: Suitable for linings in aluminum melting and holding furnaces, especially in areas not in direct contact with molten metal but exposed to high temperatures and corrosive atmosphere.
Key Advantage: Good resistance to alkali vapor attack and thermal shock from process operations.
4. Other Demanding Applications
Incinerators & Waste-to-Energy: Lining for high-temperature chambers where thermal shock from charge loading and chemical corrosion are concerns.
Foundry Heat Treatment: Furnace linings for high-temperature heat treatment processes.
