Product detail
Self-baking carbon brick for submerged arc furnace
Product Parameters

Carbon block is using in metallurgy industry as a kind of carbon refractory. It can be divided into 3 items: blast furnaces carbon block electric furnace carbon block and aluminium electrolysis cell carbon block. Our products mainly electric furnace carbon block with thermal shock resistance high elevated temperature strength low coefficient of thermal expansion and ability to anti-corrosion. It is the essential Lining masonry material for calcium carbide furnace and ferroalloy furnace.such as Ferro Silicon furnace silicon metal furnacephosphorus furnace silicon manganese furnace calcium silicon furnace tin furnace etc..
Advantages and Characteristics of Blast Furnace Self-Baking Carbon Bricks
Self-baked carbon bricks have the following characteristics in production and use:
(1) Simple production process, low investment cost, and easy construction.
(2) With a regular shape, it can be built into the required furnace lining without precision processing.
(3) After being baked by the heat of the oven and blast furnace production, it can form a nearly seamless integral furnace lining.
(4) During the baking process, under the condition of single-sided heating, the volatiles of coal tar pitch produce reverse migration, pyrolytic carbon is generated in the pores of the matrix at the working hot end and fills the pores, making the brick body “self” dense.
(5) It can absorb the temperature stress generated when the furnace lining is heated, and alleviate the damage of thermal stress to the furnace lining.
(6) Under the catalytic action of high-temperature slag iron and other media in the furnace, a heterogeneous graphitization transformation is produced. The thermal conductivity and chemical corrosion resistance of the furnace lining are improved, and the 1150℃ molten iron solidification isotherm is migrated into the furnace.
Application Advantages of Self-Baked Carbon Bricks
Due to the characteristics of self-baked carbon bricks and the qualitative changes in the furnace, the stability and durability of the furnace lining are ultimately improved. As a result, self-baking carbon bricks can be widely used in small and medium-sized blast furnaces and achieve good technical and economic results. The use of semi-graphite self-baked carbon bricks in large blast furnaces can reduce the melting index of molten iron, increase thermal conductivity, improve alkali corrosion resistance, enhance oxidation resistance, improve erosion and wear resistance, and reduce residual shrinkage.
