Vermiculite Castable
The material basis of insulation castables can be Perlite, Vermiculite,Light weight clay, Light weight mullite or Bubble alumina according to the different working temperatures. We can supply insulating castables with working temperature from 800ºC to 1700ºC while the density from 0.8-1.5g/cm3.
Product Advantages
- Low bulk density of 0.4‑0.6 g/cm³, light weight to reduce load on furnace shell
- Extremely low thermal conductivity for outstanding heat preservation and energy‑saving effect, lowering heat loss
- Easy construction by casting or ramming, suitable for thermal insulation of special‑shaped sections
- Maximum service temperature up to 1100 °C for medium‑and‑low‑temperature insulation scenarios; relatively low mechanical strength, not resistant to erosion and slag attack.
Product Applications
Used for back‑up insulation layers of industrial furnaces, electrolytic cells, heat‑treatment furnaces, flues and chimneys. It is only used as insulating backing instead of working layer.
