Ceramic Sagger | High-Temperature Kiln Furniture for Material Sintering

1. Product Overview

Ceramic sagger is a core type of refractory kiln furniture, a box-shaped high-temperature ceramic container specially used in industrial kilns. It loads raw materials or workpieces during high-temperature sintering, isolating products from direct flame, kiln ash and harmful flue gas, effectively avoiding contamination and surface defects of sintered materials.
We supply diversified ceramic saggers formulated with mullite-cordierite, corundum-mullite, high alumina and silicon carbide. Through precise raw material proportioning, high-pressure forming and strict high-temperature sintering, our saggers achieve stable crystalline structure, reliable high-temperature performance and outstanding cycling durability. Widely adopted in new energy materials, fine ceramics, magnetic materials, metallurgy and traditional ceramic manufacturing, they are essential consumables for continuous high-temperature production lines.

2. Core Advantages & Key Performance

Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance & Anti-Cracking Property

Low thermal expansion coefficient minimizes thermal stress generated during rapid heating and cooling cycles. The optimized internal microstructure greatly inhibits crack propagation and structural spalling. The sagger remains intact under repeated temperature fluctuation, effectively reducing breakage loss during mass production.

Superior Chemical Inertness & Anti-Pollution

The dense sintered body delivers stable chemical inertness under high temperature. It barely reacts with lithium battery cathode materials, ceramic powder, magnetic materials and other sintering raw materials, preventing element contamination to finished products. Meanwhile, the material resists erosion from alkaline and acidic volatile substances generated in sintering processes.

Outstanding High-Temperature Structural Stability

Maintains stable shape and dimensional accuracy under long-term service at rated temperature, without softening, deformation or excessive expansion. Uniform heat conduction inside the sagger ensures consistent temperature field, realizing homogeneous sintering quality for all loaded materials.

High Mechanical Strength & Long Service Cycle

High bulk density and low apparent porosity bring high compressive strength and abrasion resistance. The sagger withstands repeated stacking, handling and long-cycle kiln operation. Compared with ordinary low-grade saggers, it extends service life remarkably and lowers comprehensive production costs.

Flexible Customization Support

Customizable in square, rectangular, circular and irregular special shapes. We adjust material formula, wall thickness and external structure according to customers’ kiln type, sintering atmosphere, temperature curve and loading capacity requirements. OEM & ODM specifications are available.

5. Production & Quality Control

Raw materials undergo strict inspection on chemical composition and particle gradation. After batching, mixing and aging, blanks are formed by hydraulic pressing or isostatic pressing. Sufficient drying removes internal moisture to prevent burst during firing. Sintering is carried out under segmented temperature control to complete full phase transformation.
Every batch of finished saggers is sampled for tests including refractoriness, thermal shock stability, compressive strength and chemical stability. Defective products are screened before delivery to guarantee consistent quality for continuous industrial production.

6. Summary

Ceramic sagger directly determines sintering yield, product purity and operating cost of high-temperature production lines. Our multi-formula ceramic saggers balance thermal stability, anti-contamination performance and cost efficiency. Customized material solutions can match different sintering atmosphere and temperature conditions, delivering reliable kiln furniture support for new energy, advanced ceramics and related high-temperature manufacturing sectors.
